Understanding how they impact home health and what role home health plays can lead to the Golden Road of green but you have to have directions to navigate this value world successfully. We will guide the way with these models so you don’t get crushed by a falling house you didn’t see coming.     Angela Huff, RN

    Senior Manager, Forvis Mazars, Springfield, MO  

    With over 35 years of experience as a registered nurse, Angela has spent nearly 25 years in executive leadership in home health and hospice operations as well as software development in the post-acute space. In addition, she has global experience in the community care space that includes the United Kingdom, Finland, Canada, and Australia.  Angela performs operations improvement assessments and compliance-focused reviews of home health and hospice documentation, including audits and appeals related to the OIG and program integrity contractors as well as compliance risk assessments related to mergers and acquisitions.

    She is actively involved in the educational and advocacy activities the Alliance for Care at Home and is a member of the HHFMA’s Work Group Innovation, and Women in Leadership Committees. Angela has been a presenter at former NAHC and NHPCO conferences and the now Alliance conferences, as well as other industry national and state organizations and has been published in industry publications. She serves on industry advisory and state association boards across the industry.  Before entering the post-acute industry, she served in acute care management positions and was a Certified Critical Care Registered Nurse and a Certified Registered Nurse Infusionist.

     

    Elizabeth Wilson, CPA

    Director, Forvis Mazars, Springfield, MO  

    Elizabeth is a CPA with over 20 years of accounting and management experience. Elizabeth manages the Forvis Mazars home care and hospice revenue cycle services team. She assists home care and hospice clients in optimizing the billing and revenue cycle process by helping develop dashboards and other performance management tools. She also performs revenue and accounts receivable recovery services, client training and other revenue cycle enhancement services and is proficient in numerous home care and hospice software applications. Elizabeth has presented at national and state industry events, authored multiple articles, and is a member of the AICPA, MOCPA, as well as the HHFMA, including its Women in Leadership Committee. She also serves on multiple committees for the Missouri Alliance for Home Care.

    Continuing Education

    Kansas Home Care & Hospice Association is approved as a provider of CNE by the Kansas State Board of Nursing. This course offering is approved for 1.5 contact hours applicable for APRN, RN, or LPN relicensure. Kansas State Board of Nursing provider number: LT0287-0314. 


    Other disciplines will need to apply independently – a certificate of attendance for 1.3 CE hours will be provided.
