Past Meeting Notes - District 5 met via zoom on May 26 with 6 present. Carol Quiring and Jane Kelly reviewed Board meeting agenda and plans for Annual meeting scheduled for September 22nd and 23rd in Lawrence, Kansas.
Members discussed issues with getting Medicare to pay Home Health episode payments on a patient who has a Medicare Secondary payer case still open from years ago. Possible workaround suggested was having the patient call Medicare directly to have case removed.
Also discussed was recent surveys in area, reviewing whom can order and sign Plans of Care, and possibility of adding a quarterly Hospice only Zoom call. Carol Whitehair asked for questions to submit to speaker on Home Care employee law for next District meeting and a tentative list was started.
